Campaign Story
We are providing the missing link for many of the local farmers - the link to a market, in this case an export market for their wonderful agricultural products. Farmers dominate the poorest sector, yet given the right tools and market access this situation can be changed. With connections, we have demand for food ingredients and the so called superfoods, that grow so well in the Philippines. For example, Western markets will pay 50 to 70 dollars for a Kg of cacao nibs in retail packs; the farmer will be lucky to see 5 dollars a Kg. The funds are being raised to buy direct from the farmers at fair global prices their produce, process the products and then ship to markets in Australasia and Europe.
The business model - pay global price (most soft commodities are highly traded) for the raw material, then after processing, packaging and selling the products - share the profit back to the farmers.
Farmers win - increased income better community conditions
Consumers win - retail price is lower yet quality maintained
help us to buy direct from the farmers and deliver to market
