Social and Financial Inclusion for the underserved poor in Ghana

Our clients largely make their living in the informal sector of the Ghanaian economy. They are in micro-enterprises such as baking, back yard farming, shoe making, hairdressing, petty trading –selling on table tops and floor mats or carry goods on their head from place to place without access to basic finance, training and self confidence. With financial support and training services from Sun Shade Foundation, they are able to increase their inventories and gain more confidence. They are now able to buy in larger quantities thereby enjoying economies of scale. With increase in profits as a result, our clients are then able to reinvest in their businesses, afford better nutritional foods, quality health care and education for themselves and children
