Meet Logan the reason Skywave Radio started. Logan is 17 soon to be 18. Logan has cerebral palsy which he's had from birth. Cerebral palsy is a condition caused by brain damage from birth. Logan was born 2 months premature and soon after birth passed away and revived. Between him passing away and revived was when the brain starved of oxygen and the brain damage took place. This left Logan unable to walk.

Logan is a very happy outgoing young man that loves life and lives it to the full. He loves music, football and Peter Kaye and fancies himself has the next Peter Kaye. So Peter if your reading this you better watch your back haha.

Logan doesn't really go out much and he use to broadcast a little radio station on Facebook live. Facebook banned him from doing this as he didn't have the correct music licence. Logan was heartbroken and after telling his mother and a post on Facebook, friends soon set up a go get funding page and arranged a fundraiser. The money raised got a shed built and equipment and licencing to broadcast music.

Skywave Radio has been broadcasting for over a year. With help with Logan's Dad who's been a mobile DJ and other volunteer presenters have built a good weekly listener figure. We play music from the 60s to present day. With fun friendly presenters. Logan and his dad work really hard to create good sounding radio. We are advert free and this is how we wish Skywave Radio to remain.

This is why we are asking for help to prevent us from relying on playing adverts to create revenue for the station. We just want to play lots and lots of great music and friendly interactive chat without commercial breaks every 10 minutes.

We have big plans for the station and want to bring us up the next level. Help Skywave Radio to achieve even more and be bigger and better.
