In 16th December, Super Typhoon Rai (local name Odette) made landfall on many parts of south eastern Philippines. The full impact of the disaster is not yet known due to difficulties accessing locations, communication transmission outages and the initial focus on search and rescue. One of the worst hit is Sipalay, a remote coastal town in Negros Occidental, and it has not been getting enough aid even to this day. This is home to our beloved friends and it breaks our hearts to know that they have lost their homes and some, even their loved ones just a few days before Christmas. They need drinking water, food, medicine and other essentials as soon as possible. We appeal to you to join us in sending help in this very difficult time. Proceeds will be sent to community leaders on ground who will facilitate the proper distribution of food packs, relief goods and other forms of aid.
