Empowering Dreams: Supporting Chris's Mission to Educate and Nurture Burmese, Hill Tribe and Thai Boys

We invite you to join us in supporting a program that has made a profound difference in the lives of over 30 boys who have found hope and a loving home in the midst of adversity. Meet Chris, a remarkable individual who, for the past three decades, has dedicated his life to providing shelter, education, and a nurturing environment for these vulnerable children. Today, we rally together to ensure that Chris's tireless efforts can continue, empowering these boys to pursue their dreams and shape their own destinies.

The Story of Chris's Journey: Thirty years ago, Chris and his wife Lisa embarked on a journey that would forever change countless lives. Settling in Thailand, they were deeply moved by the plight of young boys abandoned on the streets or trapped in dangerous, dead-end family situations. Determined to make a difference, they opened their hearts and home, offering refuge and educational opportunities to those in need.

Tragedy struck when Lisa, a pediatric doctor, succumbed to cancer at a young age. But her legacy lives on through Chris, who decided to carry forward her mission in her honor. Despite the immense emotional and financial challenges, he resolved to continue providing a loving and supportive environment for these boys who had nowhere else to turn.

The Impact: Chris's unwavering dedication has transformed the lives of numerous boys, mostly Burmese, who have sought refuge in his home. With the support of a small group of donors, he has exhausted his personal savings to finance their shelter and education. The boys have thrived under his guidance, finding solace and strength in the family dynamics that Chris has nurtured.

The Diagnosis: In 2022, Chris received devastating news – he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. His doctors have informed him that he can expect to work for only another five years.

The Challenge: Chris's Parkinson's symptoms are aggravated by stress which he experiences due to the lack of sufficient donations to sustain his home. We can alleviate this burden by supplementing the shortfall of funding he receives from current donors. These additional funds will cover the essential costs of providing a safe and nurturing environment for the boys, as well as their education – a cornerstone for their dreams of leading productive lives.

We implore you to stand beside Chris and these resilient boys, empowering them to overcome adversity and realize their full potential. Your support will allow Chris to continue his extraordinary mission until the very end, enabling these young minds to flourish and contribute positively to society. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant impact.

Together, let us write the next chapter of Chris's legacy, one filled with hope, opportunity, and the transformative power of education. By joining forces, we can ensure that these boys, who have already endured so much, will have a chance at a brighter future. Your generosity will not only change their lives but will also inspire others to make a difference. Together, let's create a ripple effect of compassion, love, and opportunity. Donate today and be part of this incredible journey of empowerment.

At one point Chris had 23 boys living with him. Now that is a full house! Today he has 5 boys remaining at home, with an additional 4 in college or university. Due to his health and lack of funds, he is not able to take in any more boys.

"I am Sean. I am 16. For the first time in my life, I am neither hungry nor afraid."

These poignant words from Sean, one of the boys Chris has taken under his wings, encapsulate the transformative power of Chris's mission. No child should endure a life filled with fear and uncertainty, where the next meal is a constant worry. The significance of Chris's work cannot be overstated. Every. . . . .
