Hello and thanks in advance for reading this. I'm a single dad and have been largely unemployed since October 2013. My car has some deferred maintenance that has reached a critical point. It's at the point where the car is almost unsafe to drive. I've attached pictures of the estimates from Firestone Auto Care. Tie rods have major play. Rack and pinion is leaking. The hub assembly behind the brakes are shot. As a result, the steering is rough/shaky and the car makes a loud rubbing sound when driven. Not good!

Thankfully, I know the service manager who will help me get the parts at cost and will do the work in his personal home garage. Between getting the parts at cost and not paying labor, I can get my car fixed for roughly $1,200. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help me out. I'm not one to ask for help (my male pride, you know) but I have my son in the car and his safety is more important than my pride.
