Singer’s First Tour!

Just in a few words: music saved my life. Hello, my name is Noelia Mata, I am from Costa Rica and I have been a singer since I was 12 years old. I will not give too many details but I am survivor of an abusive relationship and dealing with a chronic disease. I have been in a dark tunnel for so long and finally decided to recover my love for singing and music. Then 2 years ago I found Estudio Choralia (my choir) and I have been singing with them for 2 years now. They are my family and we share a huge love for music. A few months ago we received an invitation to participate in the International Choir Festival of Buenos Aires, Argentina in November. Musicians and singers in my country are not supported by the goverment or any association even when we are representing the musical culture of our own country; we basically fund ourselves because we love music. I see this choir tour as an opportunity to share my talent and music with others, to grow as an artist and to heal as a person too. I know the tour will be amazing, a once in a lifetime experience for me and the rest of the choir. I have been working hard the lasts months to get the money for my plane ticket and the tour inscription, I am almost on my goal. If you would like to be part of my dream you can donate, any help is welcome. I set up a $300 goal before I leave for the tour. En pocas palabras: la música ha salvado mi vida. Hola, mi nombre es Noelia Mata y soy de Costa Rica. He cantado desde que tenía 12 años. No daré muchos detalles aquí pero soy sobreviviente a una relación abusiva y lidio con una enfermedad crónica desde hace varios años. He estado en un oscuro túnel por mucho tiempo y finalmente he decidido recuperar mi amor por el canto y la música. Hace dos años encontré a Estudio Choralia y he cantado con ellos durante dos años. Ellos son mi familia y compartimos un enorme amor por la música. Hace unos meses recibimos una invitación para participar en el Festival Coral Internacional de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Los músicos y cantantes no somos apoyados por parte del gobierno o alguna asociación incluso cuando estamos representando la cultura musical de nuestro país; básicamente nosotros nos patrocinamos a nosotros mismos porque amamos la música. Yo veo este tour como una oportunidad de mostrar mi talento a otros, de crecer como artista, de llevar la música a muchas personas y además, sanar como persona. Sé que el tour será maravilloso, una experiencia de una vez en la vida para mí y el resto del coro. He estado trabajando muy duro desde hace muchos meses para levantar el dinero para tiquete de avión y la inscripción al festival, estoy cerca de mi meta.
