GET SIPHELELE TO NEW ZEALAND!

Hi!

Meet Siphelele! Siphelele was born and raised in a small, rural village in the heart of the Eastern Cape called Zithulele. Siphelele got introduced to Touch Rugby during his teenage years after one of the NGO's in our village started a local touch rugby team. Siphelele started out as a junior team player, moving on to the senior category and eventually over the years, he worked himself up as our Touch Tiger's team's coach!

Not only have Siphelele proven himself through his own athletic talents and capabilities during matches, but he has also proven himself to be a driven and committed, inspirational mentor and coach to the young boys he coaches. He has help led both his senior and junior teams to victory during the Senior and Junior 2019 IPT's. These are both well-recognised interprovincial tournaments hosted by the South African Touch Association. Both Siphelele's team placed second position in these tournaments, competing against some of the best touch teams in South Africa.

And without further ado, we are super excited to announce that Siphelele is one out of two referees chosen from South Africa to attend a two-month long referee course in New Zealand. We are so excited to celebrate this milestone with Siphelele! He will get the opportunity to be training amongst some of the world's best referee's, referee league games himself, and get exposure to international touch rugby. However, there are still much to do before he departs. Although Siphelele's travelling and accommodation costs are sponsored, Siphelele still needs to apply for his visa and raise funds for food and admin fees.

Siphelele needs a total of R8 000 - R10 000 to provide for himself during these two months in New Zealand. Now, this is where you can play a role in!
