I am embarking on the Camino di Santiago with a wonderful group of people to raise money for the Women Empowerment Project in Jimma Bonga, Ethiopia . This Camino will take place in the beginning of May where we will walk 125km in 5 days from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.

Embarking on a transformative journey, the SiGMA Foundation, in proud partnership with the Catholic Vicariate of Jimma Bonga, Ethiopia, is dedicated to empowering women. The project seeks to create a sustainable impact by offering educational opportunities and skill development initiatives.

The project concentrates on education as a potent tool for empowerment. Tailored programs provide women in the region with opportunities to enhance skills in various domains such as Information Technology (IT), cookery, sewing, and hairdressing. By equipping women with skills pertinent to their local context, the project unlocks doors to economic opportunities. Its aim is not only to uplift individual lives but also to contribute to the overall economic development of the community.

Beyond immediate skill development, the project aspires to create a ripple effect of positive change. Empowered women become agents of change, influencing societal norms and contributing to the holistic development of their communities.

The SiGMA Foundation's Women Empowerment Project in Jimma Bonga stands as a testament to the organization's commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impacts in underserved communities. Through education, skill development, and global collaboration, the foundation strives to empower women and pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
