THE STORY

Sidero Records if about a corrupt Record label owner who works for a drug Queenpin, through unfortunate events he ends up owing her money to which he has a hard time paying back. With a hit being then put out on him, he decides to try and steal the money from his Artist by bogus contracts and romantic Lies. All the while he hired to perform hits by Queenpin to help repay his debts. A Movie that’s full of Betrayal, Backstabbing and corruption, In the end of it all though, no one is safe!

WHERE YOU COME IN

Making a short film is incredibly challenging and expensive. I have carefully gone through each line of the script, boiling it down to what I need to tell this story right. Here's a breakdown of how your help will be allocated: Total Budget: $5,800

$1,000. - Equipment Rentals.
There's no way around this cost. It's usually the biggest of the production, and for good reason. The truth is, there's a limit to the quality you can achieve if you skimp on equipment. Luckily, with a few connections, I'll get a good bang for their my buck.

$300. - Locations.
Yes. Surprisingly getting around to various locations isn't cheap. I have scouted a few great locations (as well as a couple backups). And fuel for the trips add up.

$1,500 - Cast & Crew.
Even though everyone involved in this production has done they're part Voluntarily, it's time everybody start getting paid fairly for the work they do. I as a new Filmmaker/Producer hope to set an example for small short film productions to pay cast and crew fairly.

$1,000 - Post-Production.
The majority of this film is Shot with one camera, Its going to be the editing that’s going to be an important cost. In addition to the heavy cost of this editing, I will enlist a second editor, a sound editor and a colorist to bring them to the finish line.

$500 - Production Incidentals.
Catering, transportation, accommodations and a little buffer to insure safety and comfort throughout production.

$1,500 - Preview Release Party.
Finishing the film is only the start of the journey. I would like to throw a Preview party for the cast and crew, so that they can bring in friends and family (for free) to watch the film before it goes to the public for viewing. So I'm trying to rent out a local movie theatre for this event (thoses who donate will be invited as well).

TIMELINE

Principal Filming is currently slated for back to back weekends in The Spring of 2019 as often as the cast and crew are available. The team will then go into post-production with the intention of final delivery in early Fall 2019. An Seattle premiere will be held at one of our local theatres. Roc Caldwell is a dialysis patient, is a twice Produced filmmaker, Music Producer, Photgrapher. His most recent film, The Unborn Cry (2010) is a Film dealing with teenage pregnancy and suicide.

Why are we're raising more funds?

Great question! We originally budgeted for our film to be completed on a 8k budget. We were really on track to do just that when The movie participation of actors just got bigger. We also realize that this story is really Good & deserves the best finishing touches which are more than we had originally planned. Our heart & hope is to raise the funds and audience to complete this story so that the WIDEST audience of ALL types will see it!

In short, the funds contributed to this campaign will go to finishing the film in post-production including color, sound mixing, score, festival submissions, and all the technical things that make movies stand out! We will start festival submissions in September of this year!
