Being unable to go for holiday when others do so every summer or Christmas is not a good experience. It is painful when you miss your home country. For children, the experience is even worse like in the case of Thumbiko (boy) now 14 and Lulu (girl) now 11.
Thumbiko and Lulu came to Hong Kong when they were 8 and 5 years old respectively. Abigail their elder sister (middle) came at the same time. While with the help of friends, Abigail has been to Zambia their home country twice, Thumbiko and Lulu yearn for this return home for a holiday. It is vital that these kids connect with their roots, their people and culture. Above all that they get to travel for holiday after 6 long years.
Just like all the staff there, the parents of the 3 siblings hold nonsalaried volunteer positions at Crossroads Foundation a charity in Hong Kong. They have been working faithfully helping many people in Hong Kong through their work at this charity. This campaign therefore seeks to fund raise for the 3 siblings to enable them to travel to and from Zambia as their parents have no resources. The elder sister is joining the trip in order to help her younger ones stay safe during travel.
