Hi, Im a single mom trying to make ends meet by working honestly. I work for minimum wage and average about $700 monthly but this past winter i was laid off due to my former company losing thier contract. This layoff hurt me pretty badly. i live in a small moblie home with almost no insulation and a half decent furnece that runs non stop. ive tried using other heating methods but nothing keeps the house warm. Due to the poor insulation and poorly working furnace my MONTHLY electric bill for the winter was $300. I tried working out a plan with my electric company but the furthest i got was energy asstinace. they did help out with $295 of the outstanding $1100 winter bill. i have been paying what i can but its just not enough... After bringing in $700 but puting out $400 for rent and $200 car payment (to get me to and from work so i can continue to try to provide for mt son) im left with $100 for gas and electric. I tried asking for more hours at work but im on a probation period for 2 more months so i cant pick up anymore hours than scheduled. I also looked for odd jobs but all that gets me is some perv asking me to do down right nasty things. And barrowing the money isnt an option because everybody i know is on a fixed income. Im facing shut off as of april 20 2015. Im will to provide any type of proof i can to prove my need of help. Im a very kind haerted person who can not seem to catch a break. please help keep my lights and gas on so my little boy can continue to play, learn, and eat without worry...
