How many pairs of shoes do you have?  

Check out your closet tonight, and think about kids in other countries who are in desperate need of ONE PAIR of shoes.  

Our team is collecting new shoes size Youth 1 to Adult 7.  They are for kids like Fabiola.

Fabiola received shoes in September at the Las Brisas Family Hope Center in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. 

Fabiola, a bright and energetic nine-year-old, lives with her three brothers, step-father, and mother in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Like many in Fabiola’s community, they survive on a small income, barely able to provide for life’s basic needs. Fabiola’s daily journey on the uneven, rocky terrain to school was done so in a pair of old worn-out sandals, the only pair of shoes she owned, until a group of volunteers with Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls visited her community last year. 

“When children receive a pair of new shoes in Honduras, their faces shines with hope. It isn’t just a pair of shoes to them. It is a means of staying healthy, avoiding diseases, and knowing that someone cares for them,” said Luis Aguilar, Buckner coordinator in Honduras. 

Please give to these little children this holiday season.  $15 can make a big difference to a kid - by providing something we often take for granted.  

This year, let your favorite pair of shoes be those on someone else's feet.

Krystle, Ellie, Paige and Melanie created the team "Shoe-t For The Moon" to collect new shoes for a Buckner shoe drive ending December 6, 2013.  They have raised enough for 25 pairs of shoes and are looking to friends to match the amount.  The shoes will be transported to another country and provided to children who will receive little else this holiday season.  Please use this opportunity to make a life brighter!  Learn more about Buckner at http://www.shoesfororphansouls.org.
