Michael Jackson awakened our conscience to “Feed the World” and make it a better place. He raised millions for the hungry. Mother Theresa begged for donations and raised billions for food and medical supplies for the needy.

ShiraLi doesn’t pretend to work on anywhere near that scale - but in her own, inimitable and unique way, she is making an imprint on the lives of hundreds of people, young and old alike and bringing joy to the hearts of the sad, the lonely, the neglected, the handicapped - and even ‘normal’, regular folk she meets every day.

I have known ShiraLi Medical Clown, from the moment she came into creation (April 2018) and I have watched her grow and mature into the vibrant, sensitive, caring, vulnerable, hilarious, powerhouse that she is. She has a special affinity with children, as her own child-like naivete endears them to her; and adults, in her presence, are drawn to reveal their own playful inner child and leave their world of stress and anxiety for a short, blessed while.

Volunteering in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, care homes, centres for the handicapped and even making private visits to cheer the sick whenever she is called, ShiraLi has a heart of gold that she pours into every encounter she makes. There is no heart that she does not touch and leave smiling. She is an inspiration to all who know her.

Now, ShiraLi is embarking on a mission that is about to challenge her in the most heart-wrenching way.

She is about to travel to Southern India, to the poorest and most needy population of orphans, neglected, lepers and crippled.

Where poverty, hunger and pain is a dismal, daily fact of life for millions, ShiraLi with a team of humanitarian clowns is about to bring a smile to the faces and warmth to the hearts of those she is about to meet.

A ‘moment of joy’ in the never-ending hardship and relentless struggle to survive can leave a treasured memory that will live far longer than the visit itself.

ShiraLi is donating her special gift and 3 weeks of her time and livelihood to this amazing, humanitarian project.
