Sharing is Caring – Shelter Organisation, India

Hi guys, my name is Rama,

I've been living in Singapore for the last 9 years and for the last 5 years I've been supporting various children's charities/orphanages. Once a year I go to visit the chosen charity and the children, giving them any sports or musical equipment they may need and bring them out for a nice dinner.

In 2016 when I told my friends, they wanted to be a part of it. I decided to share with my friends and managed to do 10 times more than what i usually do each year. I collected $2500 and managed to supply so many needed things to Nesakarangal children home, India.

This year, I'm supporting a home named "Shelter" for HIV affected children. I heard about them through a friend of mine who visited them and I have also spoken to the founder, Mr Solomon Raj, a very interesting man.

Currently, the HIV affected shelter has 48 children and 7 adults who are also living/working there. The government in India financially provide for the HIV treatment but the shelter needs everyday support.

I am going to India during Chinese new year long weekend and I'm bringing the kids to watch a movie and out for dinner.
