Shelly’s Hair Shave for the Harris’ Family & St David’s Hospice Care

Most people who know me will know that I lost three very close family members to cancer in 2016, including my amazing mother.

St David’s Hospice Care was priceless to us all as a family and I have always intended on giving something back.

I grew up with the Harris Family, who are going through a very traumatic time right now. In October last year, Matthew and Helen Harris’ beautiful three year old daughter Ella, was diagnosed with malignant tumours in both her eyes. Unfortunately, she has had to have her left eye removed and is currently receiving proton beam radiotherapy (in Germany) on the remaining part of her optic nerve as well as chemotherapy. Her right eye is also receiving regular laser treatment. As a parent I cannot imagine how tough that must be.

As a result, I am proposing to shave my hair on 26th May 2018 and am going to split any money raised equally between both St David’s Hospice Care and Ella Harris’ family.

All my hair will go to the Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children who have suffered hair loss as a result of cancer treatments or other illnesses.
