In Spite Of Herself

In the early morning hours of April 7, 2013, Shellie Carillon Blaisdell was killed in a motor vehicle accident. She was just 42 years old, a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend...and so very much more! To say she will be missed would be a massive understatement.

Shellie's two oldest children and her first grandchild live in California and want desperately to be here for her memorial service. Michelle and Robert deserve a chance to say goodbye to their mother. Please help us raise the funds to get them and two other family members here.  

As I am sure you are all aware there is no preparation for the sudden, unexpected death of the person you love. Shellie and her husband Ralph, stretched every penny they had to make it into a dollar. Ralph and her two youngest children now need our help. Please help us to help them. Anything raised after travel expenses are covered will go toward helping to defray the cost of Shellie's funeral services and to covering any gaps that need filling in the household.

Shellie was one of the kindest, funniest, wackiest people I have ever had the pleasure to know and love. When she married my brother, I gained a heart sister, not an in-law. Shell cared more about the people around her than she did herself and would give anything she had to help another, even when that meant she would go without. This was true for her family, her friends and perfect strangers. She marched through breast cancer and Ralph's health issues stoically, head held high. She deserved many more years; Ralph and their children, Michelle, Robert, Ralphie, Joey, Lakota and 7 year old Allison deserved those years as well. Please, help us, help them. Thank you!!
