Campaign Story
After a long battle with cancer, Mrs. Sheila Rushing passed away on Mother’s Day May 10, 2015. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, daughter, mother-in-law and friend. Her dear husband, Steve Rushing has been working tirelessly to support the both of them since her illness no longer allowed her to work. Medicaid was only able to cover so much of the total myriad expenses. The family has rallied as many funds as we can all muster. The substantial medical bills have not stopped arriving, nor will they for some time to come. Steve is a salt-of-the-earth, hardworking, honest and incredibly kind man. For decades he has been a stronghold for the family, as he has had to overcome much adversity in his life. He has always done so with great poise and humility. (Honestly, the man has deserved a break for some time now). The financial stress that is placed on the bereaved by the healthcare business makes the weight of mourning carry that much more tonnage. Any donations made will go directly to the costs of cremation and medical bills. Thank you so much for your support
