Shark Saviors

OVERVIEW

    I will be leaving for Grand Cay, Bahamas to assist in the research of  Caribbean reef sharks (Carcharhinus perezi) and blacktips (Carcharhinus limbatus).  The research is being lead by Dr. Erich Ritter, a renoknowned expert in Behavioral Ecology and known for his extensive work with shark-human interacions and the study of shark body language.  The two weeks in the Bahamas will consist in shark approach experiments.  These help to understand shark behavior and can assist in shark encounters with swimmers in ocean.  The money raised will go towards the research to better understand shark, which is essential for anyone that ventures into the ocean.
