Glena suffers from a pituitary tumor, diabetes, hypertension and chronic ulcer. Let's help this amazing single mom live longer for her daughter.

Last year, my sister Glenaluz Alva was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma. While the tumor is benign, doctors have warned her that if left untreated, it can grow aggressively quick and press on the nerves that let her see, and it's possible for her to go blind.

Plagued by other chronic illnesses including poorly controlled diabetes, hypertension, chronic stomach ulcer and other organ complications, she has been in and out of hospitals for years. It also led her to lose her job and up to now, she is finding it difficult to find another employer who's willing to take her despite her many illnesses.

As a single mother raising a brilliant 11-year old daughter, times have been more than challenging for her. Most days, she skips taking medicines so she could sustain her daughter's education and the bills.

Some of her existing health conditions are caused by the tumor so if successfully treated, she will be able to function better and finally find a job that will ensure a brighter future for her and her daughter.

Glena is an awesome mother who is willing to sacrifice her own health for the sake of her daughter. By sharing whatever you can to this fund, we will be able to help her get back on her feet, build a better life for her and her daughter, and live longer so she can someday see her graduate, chase her dreams, or even walk down the aisle. There's nothing else any mother could ever want in the world than that.
