Shine has grand visions alongside the Foundation ‘La Red’ in El Tunco, El Salvador, to give locals hope and opportunities to make their futures full of success, happiness and shine!

We are looking for your support to offer our holistic programmes on a long-term basis which include:

- English courses for groups of children, youth and adults

- Workshops of entrepreneurship, handicrafts, music, yoga, gardening amongst others

- Cultural and social trips, festivals and events

- Foreign volunteers

- Training for participants to become Mentors


How you can help us:

- Teach - share your knowledge and passions with people who sincerely want to learn

- Learn - the English language, Arts and life skills in participative, personalised and integrated programmes

- Sponsor - from a participant for a month ($10) to a complete programme for a group ($800) and become an honoured member of our community

- Donate - in the form of materials or economically to help us offer people of limited resources the opportunity to transform their lives. (To allow us to reach out to more a vehicle is priority on our list!)

Summary of the Association 'SHINE' (Reg. F058786)

Our non-profit organisation was created in response to the necessity and desire of Salvadorans to learn the English language. However, more than just gaining English as an invaluable tool to improve one's life, we are offering people of limited resources the chance to be part of a community of support and positive influence so that everyone can reach their full potential and have the opportunity to shine.

For us, the biggest injustice in the world is children and youth not receiving the love, support and motivation which allows them to achieve what they truly desire and deserve. We know that it is possible to transform minds, hearts and lives through holistic education.

Unfortunately not everyone has access to an adequate education due to their economic and social situations, so our fundamental goal is to reach those people, offer them the support and chance to receive our programmes on an outreach basis, which in return allows them to receive the benefits and opportunities to improve their own lives and El Salvador as a whole.

In 2014, we initiated the project using our personal and professional experiences to develop our ideas (and dreams) from a strong mission and vision statement into a detailed set of programmes which are participative, personalised and fun for all. These range from basic to conversational level and each is adapted for children, youth and adult groups (there’s no age limit for learning!). After successful pilot programmes were graduated and expanding to 7 areas of the country and growing fundraising events the NGO was legally registered in March 2017.

We continue to reach further afield, with a focus on keeping the quality high by organising collaborations and investigating new spaces which are free, open and secure to offer our programmes and extra activities. We are expanding our services to technical courses and hands-on workshops to offer a holistic, integrated project supported by local and international volunteers and employees who sincerely wants to share their knowledge and help to illuminate our communities.

“I'm a handicrafts entrepreneur. I need to learn English to be able communicate with tourists and sell my products. It will help us hugely professionally and personally in the future; to gain more fluency, understanding the grammar and being able to form phrases and questions in English is a huge achievement for us. Now I can ask what colour they want or say the prices... The sessions with Shine are fun, well given and explained so we continue with a positive attitude. The activities are developed with a focus on sales for our group so we feel encouraged to learn. I love English!"

Tenemos grandes visiones junto con la Fundación La Red para proveer a los Salvadoreños esperanza y oportunidades por un futuro lleno de éxitos, alegría y brillo.

Estamos buscando apoyo para poder brindar un programa holístico de largo plazo que incluirá:

• Cursos del idioma inglés para grupos de niños, jóvenes y adultos.
• Talleres de emprendedurismo, artesanías, música, yoga, jardinería entre otros.
• Excursiones, festivales y eventos culturales y sociales.
• Voluntarios extranjeros.

Resumen de la Asociacion 'Brillar con Ingles en El Salvador' (F058786)

Nuestra organización sin fines de lucro fue creada en respuesta a la necesidad y deseo que los salvadoreños tienen de aprender el idioma inglés, pero más que la ventaja del inglés como herramienta invalorable para superarse, estamos ofreciendo a personas de escasos recursos ser parte de una comunidad de apoyo e influencia positiva para que todos puedan desatar su máximo potencial y tener la oportunidad de brillar.

Para nosotros de Shine, la injusticia más grande en este mundo es cuando los niños y jóvenes no reciben el amor, apoyo y motivación para la posibilidad de transformar sus vidas y lograr lo que realmente sueñan. Sabemos que se puede transformar la vida, abrir y concientizar la mente, corazón y espíritu de una persona gracias a la educación holística.

En 2014 a través de nuestras experiencias personales y profesionales iniciamos el proyecto con el desarrollo de nuestras ideas y sueños hasta una colección integral de programas del inglés de todos niveles adaptados para niños, jóvenes y adultos (¡no hay límite de edad para aprender!) En seguimiento a la graduación de dos grupos pilotos, continuamos brindando y expandiendo para estar trabajando en 8 proyectos a la mejor calidad a nivel nacional. Gracias a varias actividades para recaudar fondos y colaboraciones la asociación fue registrada legalmente como una organización sin fines de lucro en Marzo de 2017.

Seguimos alcanzando más con cursos especializados del idioma inglés, capacitaciones técnicas y actividades extras para ofrecer un programa de calidad a un precio realmente accesible (con la esperanza en el futuro de ofrecerlos sin costo), con sesiones dinámicas e innovadoras en un ambiente seguro, positivo y con mucho apoyo de parte de facilitadores calificados que tienen deseos sinceros de compartir conocimientos y crear comunidades unidas y seguridad social, educacional y económicamente.
