Shall we Montessori?

We are a group or parents participating in a parent cooperative preschool. We are looking to switch to Montessori environment, because we know it will work best for our kids. During the years we have a few unsuccessful attempts to do it, but we are now determined to finish what we have started. We have already bought or handmade most of the essential materials, but there are a few that we still need – mainly in sensory and mathematics.

What is our goal?

Our goal is 1500 Euros to cover the last few Montessori materials that we cannot afford to buy or are uncapable to craft.

Who are we?

We are a group of parents who are participating in a parent cooperative preschool. The cooperative preschool exists for 5 years now, but unfortunately in our country it is now funded or sponsored in any way by the government, so all the expenses are covered by the people involved. Thus there is no financial profit for anybody in our organisation, just the advantages it has to our kids. We’ve seen ups and downs through the years and we’ve managed to keep up with all we do, because we have found our main goal – to try and do the best we can for our children.

Why a parent cooperative?

As parents we think that it is our duty to raise children that will become thoughtful human beings who will actively participate in the life around them. We are hoping that by making them a part of such a community – and yes during the years we happen to grow into a great big circle of people with similar point of view – will make them people who think, who act, who give and accept love. Montessori environment will be a great step for us, because it will give us a lot more freedom, a lot more security and curiosity in the great cuddle of gently imposed limits.
