On the afternoon of the 16th December 2021, a category 5 typhoon identified as "Rai" alias "Odette" made it's first landfall on the beautiful island of Siargao located on the eastern region of the Philippines, carrying sustained winds of up to 195 kilometers per hour. Not long after, the powerful typhoon made it's way to the western islands continuing the destruction and mayhem to everything on it's path. Many of the islands that bore the wrath of Odette are now facing the aftermath of this calamity.
The typhoon left a number of fatalities, casualties and an even bigger number of people being displaced and without a home. There are shortages of electricity, clean water and telecommunication lines are down. Hence, we are trying to raise as much funds as possible to help those in need. We will be channeling the funds to those severely affected by the typhoons to help them tide through these extremely devastating period.
With your generosity, we hope to distribute the funds to the affected islands mentioned below through several non-profit organizations that are front-lining the relief and restoration efforts from the impact of the typhoon.
Any amount in kind is very much appreciated, what truly matters is the act of giving, especially in this yuletide season. Let us unite and help out in our own ways in alleviating the sufferings of those affected by this typhoon.
UPDATE: Please find the non-profit organizations we are supporting for this cause through this google sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1n8ZGEj7I7W... It will be updated periodically, thank you for your generous support.
