Sewerage flood destoyred our stuff

We had a horrific sewerage flooding in our apartment on Saturday evening, for 14 hours sewerage water overflowed from our bathroom filling the entire home with poo water. This happened because of a blocked drain down the street, during the thunderstorm rainwater further compounded the blockage forcing the sewerage water back through to the pipes in our complex and into our unit. This destroyed furniture, clothing, books, wooden cupboards, electronics - we do not have home contents insurance and need help to recoup our losses.

All of our salvaged items had to be taken outside until carpet cleaners could come on Monday, they didn't arrive until the afternoon and subsequently the carpets still aren't dry today (Wednesday) and our items have been outside for 4 days, it has rained every night, so additional damage has happened.
