According to the World Bank data, Kenya's unemployment Rate increased to 2.98 % in Dec 2020, from the previously reported number of 2.60 % in Dec 2019. This has led to high insecurity and misuse of youth power for negative political activity. Moreover, it is reported that currently over 10 million people in Kenya suffers from chronic food insecurity and poor nutrition, and between two and four million people require emergency food assistance at any given time (Republic of Kenya, 2008). Nationally, an estimated 1.8 million children (30%) are classified as chronically undernourished. The national per capita energy intake per day is less than the recommended rates (Gitu, 2004).
