Serentea had to relocate from previous location and we have located another building in the Jacksonville Springfield area that is more suitable for Serentea and its customers. We are asking for donations to do renovations to make Serentea a more upscale Art Cafe that allow local Artist to have a place to show his or hers talent to the community. In this location we will be selling food, pastries, tea, gourmet popcorn, gourmet ice cream, as well catering for events. This new location has everything that the previous location needed to meet the Zen environment that will suit the Art community desires. Our new location is a stand-alone storefront building with nice windows all around from the customers can look out and view some of Springfield most beautiful historical homes. Inside the first store front is a large commercial kitchen, walkup counter, seating for 20 and nice outside viewing. In the event hall area there’s a nice stage for performers, and area for a nice piano, this area can seat about 75 people. The setting is nice, cozy, and relaxing. The event hall is a great place for any type of private events with a variety of tables and chairs, and bar high window seating to enjoy the outdoors viewing of the community. We will also have a Beauty Spa, in the last section which is not inside the main sections of the building. The beauty spa has its own entrance that is not connected to the cafe or event hall; there will be hair stylists, barbers, nail techs and other beauty specialist available during our business hours. The funds we are in need of will help in small repair of roof and purchase of ac units that was stolen while building was empty. The other things that is needed is inside renovation such as lighting, painting, and some other small cosmetic things to enhance the look to suit the needs of our customers along with adding outside awnings. Springfield is an art district and Serentea would like to have location designed around the art community so they can display their beautiful art talent to the community. We will appreciate all donations and we are thankful for all the love and support we have receive from the community through our transition. Our goal is to open by March 2016, with the support from friends, family, and the community.
