This is Joy Rodgers, currently a full-time athlete aiming for a good performance this SEA Games 2019 to be held at the New Clark City Aquatic Centre, Tarlac, this coming December 4 to 9. The games might be the deciding factor for my career in swimming and so I am doing everything I can to ensure that I do so. It was tough to qualify, but from now it will be tougher to improve up to national expectations. I aim to make the most of morning and afternoon swims, strength and conditioning training, diets, recovery food, and stretches, and like everything else, there comes with it costs. Listed here are the estimated costs I might incur in preparation for the games:
Training fees at swim club (Oct to Dec): Php 11,150
Training suit: Php 2,800
Training camp at Dumaguete, Oct 31 - Nov 3: Php 10,500
TOTAL: Php 24,450
Other upcoming events:
2019 FINA Swimming World Cup at Qatar, Nov 7-9
Training camp at NCCAC, Tarlac on November
Aside from these are other expenses such as those from travelling, meds, vitamins, food, and equipment, and pocket money.
With that, I am presenting myself to you now to ask if you would like to donate any amount possible. Having financial support will allow me to focus more on improving in training instead of worrying. I believe that any form of help will go a long way no matter the amount.
Teamwork makes the dream work! Very much looking forward to representing the Philippines!
Thank you very much!
