Campaign Story
I'm travelling to Arusha, Tanzania on the 25th June 2016 to spend 3 weeks developing my professional and clinical nursing skills in one of the town's health centres (Kaloleni Health Centre) where primary health care is provided to the local community. I am also hoping to get involved in the minor surgery unit here too! My fourth and final week will be spent living with some of the Maasai Tribe in the Engaruka Maasai village (the real deal - i'll be sleeping in a mud hut and there will be no electricity or running water!). I'll be working in the Maasai clinic, and will also have the opportunity to partake in a Women's Group to discuss health risks of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and HIV/AIDS prevention. I hope you'll support me and spare a few pound :-)

Hope you have a great time. You'll get used to the no-booze might be the lack of electricity and running water that might be more of a challenge. :-) Enjoy every moment. Love the Herrons xx
