Send Owen to the 22nd World Business Dialogue!

Requesting your help to join the upcoming event in February 2019!

I'm sure most clicking in the link already know me well, but in case you don't, I'm Owen, a second-year student majoring in social science and legal studies!

Having always explored opportunities to enrich myself, be it locally or overseas, I believe learning in real-life is just as important as regular lessons happening within lecture halls or classrooms. Through events like international volunteering workcamps and Dragon 100, I've enriched my personal understandings on lots of global affairs, not to mention how I made friends with a lot of talented young people across the globe! Every event I engaged in has influenced me significantly on different fronts, from my personal character to the way I think, making me a profoundly better person.

Now, I have the opportunity to represent Hong Kong and attend the 22nd World Business Dialogue!

What is the World Business Dialogue?

The World Business Dialogue is the largest, voluntary student-run business convention worldwide. By bringing together the best international students, globally operating companies and distinguished politicians & scientists, the formation of a multicultural, cross-generation think tank unveiling trend-setting innovation and cultural shifts in society would no doubt revolutionize the way we think.

In the event, I get to meet and work with youth who share the same concerns over important issues in the modern world, from cyber security to innovation and leadership. Moreover, I could gain invaluable exposure and experience as I learn from minds of different cultural and national backgrounds. That said, participation is sure to incur a significant cost. So I'd be needing your financial support!

How can you help?

I've complied a list of expenses :

Travel Expenses (Round-trip air tickets): €940

Visa Fees: €60

Program fees and shared accommodation expenses: €300

Food and local travel: €200

Total: €1500 (In USD, $1710)

With the money, I would be able to fully engage in the event and immerse myself in learning from the best of the best across the world! If I am able to join, then I would be more than glad to share with you guys my personal experience on my personal website at owenchw.com. After the event, I would write about the whole event and publish several blog posts reflecting on my experience. Moreover, I would also love to talk to prospective applicants from across the world who eye to join the next Dialogue in 2020.
