HELLO AND THANK YOU ALL THAT ARE READING THIS EXCERPT

My son has recently been given the oportunity of a lifetime for a chile. He has been hand selected by one of the best recruiter in the acting industry to attend a Premiere Event held in Orlando, FL. My son has a n extremely shy personality..until he is on the stage or performing. HE SHINES!!! I am not the "typical" mom. I believe in being honest with my child. At first I didn o believe that his "acting" was anything special, but I was there encouraging on when he entere tallen shoes, school plays, and theater experiences. But in the back of my mind I was thinking of back-up plans, just in case.

I heard about casting calls for Premiere and signed my son up for the event, never thinking that anything would come from it, but it showed I was supportive in his craft. We attended the event and of the 1100 kids that showed up...my son got a call back to return for an interview the next day and perform one on one with the director. To my surprise, shock, and maybe dismay...he made it. He killed the interview, he killed the reading, and killed the improv with the director. HE WA AWESOME!!!. I consider myself to be a well grounded individual, but in that moment I was so caught up by what I was seeing and experiencing that I didn't record it. I had the camera in my hand and never turned it on. That is how so enraptured I was with his performance. I have NEVER witnessed my son in that capacity. He was so in his element and you could see it.

After the performance, I was approached by the recruiting director and he was very direct and abrupt and stated to me in all of his 30 years of being in the industry he could recount the kids who had "it" to succeed and my son has it. He has a natural ability, the look and he is not afraid to try different things. He takes direction well and listens to what is being asked and does it. He needs to be in Orlando at this event. All I needed was validation from an expert that my son could succeed at being an actor. Had he not spoken to me and had I not witnessed with my own eyes the transformation that took place with my nerdy, introverted, socially awkard son (think of Sheldon for Big Bang Theory), I would not proceed with the "acting" as a career goal. I would not williing pay for something that would not benefit my son's future.

This is where you, hopefully, come in. I am a single parent (it was better to divorce than probably be incarcerated for murder). I provide for my children (2 boys) and we do not live above our means. I teach my children about respect, values, morals, and instill pride and dedication in all that they do. I also teach them the values of hard work. My children are academically gifted and well liked and respectedin the community. Myson deserves this opportunity. He has never requested, asked, nagged, or begged for anything, not even this experience. I feel as a parent, when your child has a talent or gift it is your responsibility to nuture that gift by all means necessary. In his whole life Adrian has NEVER asked for anything. I believe that it is my duty to support him. This is something that he will remember for the rest of his life.

I am doing something I have never done before, and that's ask for help. Help me provide the resources to send my son to Orlando. This is a business trip. He is not going so that he can meet Mickey and ride the Disney rides. He is going so that he can be exposed and probably hired by some of he top agents, managers, and casting directors in the industry. This is a weekling interviewing/casting event so that my son can showcase his talent and work alongside celebrities that work for Disney and Nickelodeon. This is a fabulous opportunity for him, and it cost.

I am asking for donations to support and subsidize event fees, lodging, food and transportation costs for the week we are there. Any and all help will be thankfully accepted for our needs.

I just want my son to look back on this experience with positivity and to be proud of what he has achieved.

Thank you,

Wanda Duggins

PROUD MOM OF ADRIAN
