Hi There!

My name is S'bu Msimango! *inserts South African flag as part of bio* - Cheesy I know :)

So here's my story...

I have spent the first 6 and a half years of my career honing my skills in various commercial and operational roles in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Manufacturing industries.
I'm about to embark on a new and exciting journey as an innovationist!

I have been accepted into IE University's Master in Customer Experience and Innovation (MCXI), a cutting-edge programme presented on the Madrid campus in Spain.
A core element of this programme is Design thinking, a method of designing products, services and experiences in a manner that speaks to human needs. Design thinking is at the heart of the success of brands such as Apple, GE, AirBnB, Netflix and many more!

I am making this bold switch from a traditional career path because I will be enabled to marry my experience and expertise in business/commerce with one of my deepest passions (people). The people aspect lies in the very integral human-centred design component of MCXI. Also because there is a growing need to make African businesses and institutions globally competitive. Armed with the world-class skills and knowledge obtained from the MCXI programme, I will bring these skills back to my beloved continent!

After a long gruelling journey, I am happy to have secured funding for my tuition through a mix of personal savings and a student loan.

I now need your help with contributions towards my living expenses for the approximate period of 11 months which I will spend in Madrid.
These costs will include rental for accomodation, basic furniture items and kitchen utensils, daily meals, monthly busfare, health insurance and other auxillary costs.
