Campaign Story
German
Dragons Singapore has embarked on its most ambitious sporting endeavor
to date: competing in the 10th Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) in
Adelaide Australia (1-7 April 2016). CCWC is the biggest dragon boat
event for non-national dragon boat clubs worldwide, with thousands of
dragon boat athletes and supporters competing and attending. A select
number of teams from each country is entitled to participate in this
event, and German Dragons Singapore is very proud to have been selected to represent
Singapore this year.
Our highly motivated crew of 27 working
professionals has been squeezing every moment of spare time to paddle
and train up to 10 times a week for over 6 months! While the training
program has been challenging, we are committed and excited to compete at
the highest possible level, and are now reaching out to you to help us
overcome the final, financial hurdles. Specifically, the crew members are seeking
contributions to cover some of the race and transportation fees as well as overall
equipment and coaching costs.
The German Dragons Singapore CCWC crew truly appreciates and thanks you very much in advance for any support you can provide to help us with this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Dear All, thanks so much for all your contributions! We are extremely proud and happy to count you as our supporters. Your participation greatly helped in making this endeavor possible and enabled us to race against some of the world’s best dragon boat teams under optimal conditions. We successfully won 4 minor finals over 500 and 200 m race distances, for mixed and women’s small boat categories, and placed 8th and 10th respectively for the 2km races. This is without a doubt the greatest sporting achievement for German Dragons Singapore... Hopefully until the next round in 2018 (Hungary)!
