Campaign Story
Hello, everyone!
My name is Coral, and I am so happy to be here! I was contacted on March 7th to help a wild-caught Orca named Morgan, who is being held in captivity in Loro Parque. She has now been living in the confines of a captivity nightmare for seven years.
Morgan was born in Norway in 2007, and has been captivity since her capture in 2010. Morgan is pregnant, (despite the terms of her captivity permit stating this is prohibited) and has been violently and maliciously attacked by two of her tank mates since her arrival at Loro Parque. Because there is nowhere to run with tank walls confining her, this continues, daily. We must fight harder for Morgan's release, and this is the reason I am here!
For my entire life, I have communicated with animals and animals have communicated with me. I am an Animal Reiki Master. I am also the co-founder of an Animal Sanctuary, where all life matters. I have dedicated my life to fighting for the voiceless, who cannot defend themselves against the adversity of the human race.
I am honored to have recently become become a chapter in Morgan’s life story, and I have vowed to dedicate my life to her release, and the release of all cetaceans held in captivity.
I have much work to do in this field from here forward, and it begins with Morgan.
It is my belief that none of us are truly free until all of us are free. I have accepted the ultimate personal mission to swim Morgan to freedom, and I won’t rest until I do. In this, I ask for your assistance as I make my way to Morgan, in Tenerife... 100 miles off of the coast of western Africa. With your help via donations that will ensure I am able to travel to Morgan in October, I will do my best to comfort her, reassure her, and offer her strength, love and light, as court cases continue in the fight for her release into a coastal sanctuary, where she can be rehabilitated and eventually released back to her ocean home.
I thank you all, in advance, for your love and ongoing support for myself, Tamara, the sanctuary, and Morgan. We are all grateful. You can read more on Morgan's story and continuing court case here: www.freemorgan.org.
Namaste,
Coral.
