Warm greetings of peace!

We are Coro Regina Coeli (CRC), a community church-based competing choir from the province of Cavite. Founded in 1997, CRC believes in nurturing youths into positive role models that serve God and the community through the transformative power of music. While our parish is based in Noveleta, our members also come from different towns such as Rosario, Imus, Trece Martirez, Indang, Tanza, General Trias, and Cavite City. Many of our members have joined with zero experience in music but through discipline and passion have continously honed their musical abilities to transform into world-class, multi-talented choristers. In fact, none of our members have undergone any formal training in conservatories of music. We welcome every individual willing to learn as part of our family, and through dedication and hard work we create a community that encourages and supports the musical gifts of each other.

In 2011, our humble choir competed for the very first time in the 5th Rimini International Chorale Competition in Rimini, Italy and received a Silver Diploma in two categories. Since then, we have continued to reap awards both local and abroad. Last year, our group was awarded Category Champion for Mixed Choirs and received a Gold Diploma and a Hall of Fame recognition at the 31st International Franz Schubert Choir Competition in Vienna, Austria.

This year, we are hoping to take our skills once again to the international stage, with invitations to compete in three (3) choral competitions in Europe: the Per Musicam ad Astra International Copernicus Festical and Competition in Toruń (29 June-3 July), the Musica Eterna Roma in Rome (10-14 July), and the 58th Seghizzi International Choral Singing Competition in Gorizia, Italy (18-22 July).

Most of our members are underprivileged youths who come from average and below the poverty line households, but through music have found a creative outlet to encourage and inspire others to dedicate their lives into humble service. Aside from competing, we organize various outreach activities and benefit concerts as a way of giving back to the community and helping those most in need. Through these activities, the young members of our choir learn the value honing their God-given talents not just for one’s personal development but ultimately to be of service to others.

We are reaching out to you to help us realize our goal of spreading Philippine music and culture by helping us raise money to cover our group’s airfare, accommodation, costumes, and other travel expenses. The amount we need to raise is huge, but with your help, we can send our 38-member choir to Europe. Any amount goes a long way, and your invaluable support will enable us to take advantage of this exciting opportunity to promote Filipino talent and the beauty of our culture abroad.

Thank you very much for supporting our youth and helping them become positive agents of change in our society. To God be the Glory!
