Send Cathy to join Water Protectors at Standing Rock

Big thanks to everyone who has contributed so far! I've received $340 to date, with a couple of pledges outside this crowdfunding platform, and will be off to North Dakota on Tuesday the 8th! The campaign against the Dakota Access Pipeline is a crucial battle to protect indigenous land and water, to save the Missouri River from almost certain contamination with dirty oil, and to keep fossil fuel in the ground to avert climate disaster. It's time we stepped up in support of our Native brothers and sisters, from whom everything has been taken, and now their sacred lands and water are horribly threatened, all for profit for a few wealthy oil corporations. The Standing Rock Sioux and the thousands who are supporting them badly need winter supplies, provisions, and money for legal fees, as well as volunteer help. I need money to get there and to donate as well as my labor. Indigenous water rights are among my highest values. Please help this 70 year old activist accomplish a mission of service!
