Send a kid to college fund

Hey guys and gals,

My name is Dan, I'm a 21 year old guy who is looking to attend Plymouth State University in the fall. I have filled out all the paperwork, paid the deposit on room and board, been accepted and then I got the bill.

Twenty Two thousand dollars ($22,000) is what seperates me from being a college student. Luckily financial aid has stepped in and awarded me Thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000) Now i'm no math genius, but there's a difference of Nine thousand dollars ($9,000) there. 

So I thought I would get some help from my mother and have her co-sign a loan for me, but it was denied. I've run out of options here. My household income is far less than the tuition for one year so I don't know of any other ways to afford going to college. 

I'm trying to make a better future for myself and college will help me do that. I am persuing a degree in Communications with a focus in film and media studies. This will be the first time anyone in my family has gone to college. My family is proud of me but they just cant afford to send me off to college.

I've been applying for scholarships like a mad man, but it seems that I can't get anything. 

So thats where you guys come in. By donating to my education you will be helping someone who really needs it. You will be helping me achieve my dream and giving me a much better chance at a great future. in short, You'll be sending a kid to college.

If you can get the grades to excel in college why should you be denied because you can't afford it?

I will be setting this up to accept past the amount that I need. Any amount over my goal will be given to another member who is looking to do the same thing as I am.
