Semper & Adhuc means in Latin « from always until now ». This appellation symbolises perfectly the true essence of our concept : restoring in the finest practices, ancient watch mechanisms and giving them a new outfit. The result is a watch, unique in its kind and ready to start its new life on your wrist.

En latin, Semper & Adhuc signifie « Depuis toujours et jusqu’ici ». A travers ce nom, c’est l’essence même de notre concept qui s’exprime : restaurer d’anciens mécanismes dans les règles de l’art, et leur offrir un tout nouvel habillage. Le résultat : une montre unique en son genre, prête à entamer une nouvelle vie à votre poignet.

The watch movements were manufactured between the thirties and the sixties, when the glory of these mechanic jewels shined throughout the world. Most of their owners decided to melt parts of their watches either to create a new piece of jewellery or simply to sell the precious parts of their casings later on. The movements were thus stripped apart of their casings and bracelets, often staying in a good working shape but somehow forgotten. It took us quite some time and explorations to find the pieces and missing elements which would be restored in our workshop and added to the modern parts of our new time keepers.

Les mouvements de nos montres ont été manufacturés entre les années 1930 et 1960, une époque où l’éclat de ces bijoux de mécanique rayonnait sur le monde entier. La plupart du temps, c’est le choix de leurs possesseurs de récupérer les matériaux précieux du boitier (pour en faire un nouveau bijou ou les revendre au poids) qui a dénudé ces mouvements, les laissant sans boîtier, sans bracelet, fonctionnels mais oubliés. Après les avoir retrouvés au gré de nos explorations incessantes, nous les restaurons dans notre atelier, avant de les incorporer dans un garde-temps aux pièces neuves.
