Campaign Story
Back in 2009, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer along with some friends at an orphanage in Chennai (India) called SEED. SEED is lead by a wonderful Indian man called Palani who has dedicated his life to look after children of victims of serious crimes, leprosy patients, tsunami victims and life prisoners. Throughout my 3 months stay, I was constantly amazed and humbled by the amazing care that Palani and his SEED staff offered these children. I also grew very close to the children who were fun, loving and incredibly smart.
As many of you may know, Chennai has suffered very severe floods in the past month with more than 400 people killed and over 18 000 people displaced.
In the midst of these floods, SEED has done an incredible work protecting the children but also assisting their helpless parents, many of whom have now become roofless. They are now trying to get back to normal but have suffered heavy losses and damages which will require repairs. In particular, their engine to pump water from the bore has stopped functioning.
They are searching for kindhearted people who can provide financial support to help them get back on their feet. If you would like to help, I can assure you that everything you donate will go straight to helping these bright and kind children and that you will have a direct impact on their lives.
I will be collecting donations to assist SEED in these difficult time through this fundraising campaign but you would like to become a long term partner of the organization via their website: http://seeduniversal.org/
Thank you in advance for your kind generosity!
