Second Chance Prom

We're throwing a PROM-themed dance party on Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14th. 

Our inspiration for the party: After hearing several friends talking about the pressure of Valentine's Day, we decided to take that pressure away from people and host a great event -- and while we're at it, we'll raise some money for a few of our favorite charities: UPRISING OF LOVE (the Russia Freedom Fund) and OPEN YOUR HEART (the LA Pet Clinic). 

Instead of charging for the event, we're asking for a $20 donation at the door. We will be splitting the donations between the two charites: 45% will go to UPRISING OF LOVE, 45% will go to OPEN YOUR HEART, and 10% will go towards recouping some of the overhead costs of renting the event space. 

But since we dream big, we thought we could reach out to a wider web of people outside of Los Angeles, and raise more money for both of our charities! This is why we're reaching out to you.

UPRISING OF LOVE: Today in Russia, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) people are facing harassment, arrest and violence under a set of horrific new laws. For their sake, we must come together and start an uprising of love. Uprising of Love uses all of their donations to directly support the LGBTI community in Russia and foster an atmosphere where Russians feel bolstered to be themselves and speak up for this cause.

OPEN YOUR HEART PET RESCUE: Dedicated to saving and protecting homeless pets in Los Angeles. Dr. Reina at LA Pet Clinic has a long history of saving tons of Los Angeles strays and finding them homes.
