Searching For a Miracle

Hello everyone, my name is Sabrina and to brutally honest I’m 2 days away from loosing everything I’ve worked so hard for during the past 20 years. I’m here to share my story in hopes that someone, somewhere hears my cry for HELP. I am in desperate need of help to pay my rent that is now 13 days past due and facing eviction, and I lost my car 4 weeks ago so I’m now without any transportation. My water was cut off last week, and I’m just really in need of a miracle Before I go any further I’d like to say that (as I’m sure many have felt before me) this was not an easy decision to start this fundraiser for myself. Matter of fact, it has been very uncomfortable for me. However, I have exhausted all other resources, including local charities and fundings. Although it’s not a short explanation, I feel like if I’m somehow blessed enough to receive the help I need, then I owe it to those willing to help to know my story. Well, this is my story.. Along with so many other’s I was furloughed due to COVID19 at the end of July. I do recognize that I am one of the lucky ones to have postponed my furlough as long as I did, but this is the first time in 22 years that I have been unemployed and it’s been hard. Shortly after I had to make the decision to keep my car or keep my house because I couldn’t afford both so I watched in agony as my car was picked up from in front of my house that day. I had only 4 payments left before it was paid off. It’s not in my nature to take things laying down so starting the next day after my furlough I have spent countless hours every single day applying to hundreds of jobs while also anything I can from home such as pet sitting, online gigs, literally anything I could find to bring in money. I am still waiting on my unemployment and being that I live in a small town the rescources available here ran out of funds in July. I managed to stretch out any money I had and the little coming in to make it until this month,September came. Now I’m negative in my bank account, do not even have a penny to my name, no one to help, no where to go, not even a car to live in. I have 2 days to come up with $1200 for my rent before I’m evicted. I finally received a good job offer that I’ll start in 1 week but it is 14 miles there and 14 miles back which I will be walking until I can get a car. I will not receive a check from my new job for another 3 weeks, but by then I won’t have a home to come home to. I’m tough, but this has almost been enough to break me. I survived cancer so I know I can survive this. I’m a survivor, that’s what I do, but right now I just need someone to walk beside me for a minute to get there.
