Many of us are not aware of the current state of our Fire stations, Search & Rescue departments as well as all the equipment and tools used to be able to assist communities, individuals and businesses in emergency situations.

A few days back we lost a family friend, who since 1983 had been importing and distributing all emergency and rescue equipment into South Africa.

When his wife had contacted us to help assist in finding people who would be interested in purchasing all the left over stock and spare parts, i had gotten into contact with a friend that works with local private search & rescue companies.

It was then mentioned that our government departments have 1 fire truck in operation at the moment and is not stationed near by, to be able to assist in emergency recues. All the equipment, Jaws of life, etc, majority of it no longer works.

In life threatening situations, when someone has to be cut out of a vehicle, the chances that the tools that would be used, would probably not be available. So we rely on our private run Associations, who are generally first on the scene, they all go out of the way to insure that any emergency is treated to the best of their potential with what they have.

We looking to raise funds to be able to purchase all the equipment and rescue tools, that we currently have available, and donate it to the search & rescue companies to be able to assist. This type of equipment does come at a price and is not affordable for companies to purchase. But with your help, we can save more lives and getting medical help before its to late.
