The Falcon Blanco Mediano is a Spanish Armada vessel which sank off the west coast of Ireland on the 25th September 1588.  There are a number of Armada wrecks off the coast of Ireland and many have been discovered.  However, the exact location of the Falcon Blanco Mediano remains unknown.  There are a number of suggested locations but these have shown no signs of the wreck yet.  I initially tried to raise funds in the 90's to search for her but as she has no commercial value (being a war ship) it has proven to be very difficult.   The vessel is owned by the Irish State (National Monuments Act 1930 - any shipwreck over 100 years old) but we have permission to search for and dive the site.  We first received permission in 2012 and have had it renewed each season including this year 2015.   We have managed to buy nearly €30,000 worth of equipment over the past three years but have always ran out of funds during the expedition season.  We need to raise an additional €20,000 to give us access to our full 32 weeks permit to dive the site. Our objective is to find and identify the vessel.  Then we will engage a sponsor to produce a documentary on mapping and filming the site.  This would be done in conjunction with the Irish Underwater Archaeological unit. Any help towards us achieving our target of €20,000 is greatly appreciated.  To reiterate, this project is purely of historic interest and all who help will be acknowledge in all published materials.  Thank you.
