Sean’s Road to WCOPA 2019

My name is Sean Josef Benjamin M. Rodelas , 13 years old and I am a 7th grade student at Bethany School of Las Piñas. I was recently interviewed, screened and passed the auditions and eligible as a delegate of Team Philippines at The World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California this July 2019. The program promotes international understanding while building leadership skills and performing among youths from different countries. The 12-day experience includes meeting talents with different age groups from more than 70 different countries, workshops on self-esteem, and educational activities as well as competing in 7 different categories including Vocal Solo Act. Team Philippine Members are carefully interviewed and evaluated before their acceptance, and I am honored to have been selected. Personally, I am looking forward to broadening my perspectives of the world and gaining a better understanding of the Performing Arts. Upon my return, I plan to share my experience with schools and civic clubs in our community. As a Team Philippines member, I can also earn college scholarships because of the many educational elements in the program. I am currently seeking financial sponsors as a solo contestant with my companion since I am a minor, and hope I can count on your support.
