I am a 22-year-old international table tennis player from Glasgow. I've represented Scotland at multiple international events including the World Championships, European Championships and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and have won multiple National Titles at Under 18 and Under 21 level and am a Commonwealth Championships Bronze Medalist.
I began playing table tennis aged 11 and when I finished school aged 17 I moved to France to train full time with professional club Levallois. Two years later I returned to Scotland to study Applied Sports Science at The University of Edinburgh and am now going into my final year of study. For the past 3 years I have been training in Edinburgh with the National Squad.
After Glasgow 2014, SportScotland chose not to renew their funding of table tennis in Scotland. Subsequently, the National Team Performance Programme lost it's financial support.
I am raising funds to allow me to compete at as many domestic and international competitions as possible throughout the present season. These funds would go towards the costs of travel, accommodation and entry fees. These events give me the opportunity to compete against top level players and increase my British and World Ranking, which is vital to qualify for major events such as the Commonwealth Games.
