Campaign Story
In order to go to France and be a part of the French exchange program during spring break next year, we need to raise $3,900 (if 15 people go) and a little more if less can attend. I'm taking French in high school and have considered a career in culinary arts. This would be the trip of a lifetime. But I'm not old enough to have a job and my parents have told me that in order to go, I have to raise the money myself. Payments of $500 come out of my account if I sign up to go. Without income, I'm not sure how I will be able to do this and I'm reluctant to commit without a regular source of income. I'm doing other fundraising programs like selling wrapping paper and candy bars at school, but I don't know how much I will be able to raise on my own. If I get enough money to go and this campaign let's me raise more than I need, I'd like to donate any extra proceeds to someone else that is in a similar predicament. This sounds like the trip of a lifetime and with the prices of the things we get to do, I realize that I am likely not going to have this type of chance to go again unless I arrange it on my own, later in life. That will be much more expensive, I'm sure. Please help me. I will take other suggestions for additional fundraising ideas too.
