My name is Ruth Owinyo. I am 45 years old and a mother of two girls. I was married to my beloved husband for 23 years and he died in 2012. So I am a widow. I need some support of paying school fees badly. Currently I am unemployed so please I need your help.

This is my brief history about myself and my family. After my husband died in 2012, I have taken in 7 kids in my home who are orphaned or disadvantaged, to help them get education and better their lives. I have been a mother to them in all (shelter, food, clothing and education) for the last 7 years. But now I need donor support to help me ensure that my young orphans stay in school. I don't have a job at the moment and I am in a rental house. The last three months have been so hard. My request is, :- (1) I have arrears in school fees and three of them have been sent home from school due to fees. (2) I need some money to help me stand on my feet so as to continue putting some food on their table.

If I can be helped in these areas I can be very grateful.

Here are the pictures of the children under my care and a brief history about my family. I am not rich, I am poor too but I believe in sharing the little I get to change a child's life. I am on my knees at the moment. I need your support please to help me stand:

Above: Joshua Perez was born in 2004. His parents could not take him to school due to poverty. So he was just at home not schooling and suffering. I took him to my home in 2012 at the age of 7 years of age. Under my care I have taken him to School and now he is in Class five (2019).

Above: Esther Eucharia was born in 2006, her parents also due to poverty did not take her to school. I saw the beauty in this girl and wondered if she can get education she can be very smart and take care of her self. I took her in at the age of 6 years in 2012 and took her to school. She is now in class five (2019).

Above: Anita Kabasyu was born 1999. Her parents died 2002 from HIV. She was taken in by her grandparents and they did not take her to school due to poverty. So at a young age she started working as a house help to help her grandparents. I found her in 2017. I was moved with pity and talked to her grandparents and they agreed for me to take her to school. As we all know, a girl of 18 years not knowing how to read and write even her own name was a challenge. But what made me happy was, that she herself wanted to go to school. So I took her in 2017 and with help of the teachers she was admitted in class five due to age. She can now write read and write though not very well but she is trying her best. She is in class 7 (2019).

Above: Lilian Mutonyi was born in 2000. Her parents took her to school until she was in class 6 when her father died in 2016. Her has been sick since and could not take care of her. So she dropped out of school she started working as a house help for three years. I took her in 2019 and she is in class 7 (2019).

Above: Lydia Otieno was born 2003. Her parents took her through Primary school but when it reached High school they wanted her married. I took her in 2017 December and tried my best to put her in High School. She is in her 2nd year in High School.

Above: Damian Allen is my grandson. His mother who is my daughter left him under my care at the age of five months. My daughter who is Damian's mom loved the dad so much that when he died she became depressed and turned to alcohol and became alcoholic. I have tried to take her to rehab so she cannot take care of her son. I have taken Damian to school and in 2020 he will be in grade 1.
