School Fees

Dear Friends and Generous people,

I am looking for help - not for me but for my domestic helper who comes to me 2x per week.

A silent friend and I have been helping her with funding to put her daughter through school. She is now in Grade 11 at a good school in this area and will be going into Matric next year. My friend and I have paid the re-admission fees that needed yearly I have also helped with the books and other fees. She is doing really well shehas been a Prefect and has her half colours in Academics and Drama. She was co-written a play which the drama students performed and won various prizes. From a child who came from a ‘township’ school and stayed back a year she has blossomed into a really good student with good grades.

Now her son is about to go into Grade 8 he has been placed in a different school but also in our area the fees there are normally R33000.00 per year they will drop them for her for this year to R700 per month x 12 (Total R 7800.00) plus the R3000 admission which is recurring every year and the R2500 for books and other compulsory things, hopefully only this year.

I will pay the R3000.00 admission fee (my silent friend is paying the daughters admission fee) We are looking for the R2500.00 and the R7800.00 for this year ( I’ll be holding out the begging cap again next year ;)

I thought 17000 Rands in total will help with pens and pencils and other odds and ends that he will need like caps etcetera to make this year complete and pave his way to a successful school career.

Please could we get some help as I cannot afford to pay it all (we are still paying off university fees and my kids school fees :) )

I know that everyone is helping other people in other ways and everyone’s money is tight but all small bits that can go towards putting another child through a good school and giving them the chance of a good education to secure their future would be appreciated.
