School Book Project

 The main problems in the romanian schools are: violence and the low results.

We try to change this by starting a project witch we hope it will start a change. The most importat problem is that a big part of the romanian childrens dont read anymore. The lack of education causes a lot of other problems, like: violence, unemployment, social isolation, discrimination, inequality of opportunity, etc.We try to create a brigth future by starting a project that will bring childrens closer to the books.

Here is the main ideea:

We want to publish in schools a series of books for children. They're story will be funny, positive an easy to understand, but that is not the important part. What we want to do is to make the childrens part of the story as characters. After the pilote volume that will bring the childrens in contact with the story, we will start to intoduce students in the next volumes. The way is simple: the students who present the most important ''transformations'' (changes) like: better grades, better behavior (that for problem childrens, disobedient or violent) will be chosed and transformed in characters. The characters will have they're behavior: the good childrens will become good characters (the smart ones for example will become wise characters), and the bad childrens will be the evil characters. We wish that the students will try to change they're behavoir according to the tipe of character they want to be (evils become good and wise characters). More than the names and they're personalities, we will have illustrations to wich will represent them. The next targets will be: school clubs, annual festivals, competitions, awards, games, etc. This project will last for over 15 years and we will include all the schools in the country. The books series will have fantastic adventures, and we wont publish it in mass, all the schools will be grouped in no more than five schools (depending of the students number), and every group will have the same book but with other characters. This is what we can call the main ideea. We need money for the first volume (the pilot one) after that we will auto finance. We tried to start this project for 3 years, we visited many schools, we had presentations, the childrens were very happy and enjoyed the ideea, so did the teachers. We had what we can call an experiment on 3 schools, we test the project (2 volumes) and the results on childres behavoir were better than expected. But the main problem in this project were the money. We tried 3 years to find funds, but all the institutions ignored us, and the bussines people were interesed only in profit (the most of them wanted like 60-70% of what we gain). And so because of 2000-3000$ we cloudn't do anything (only the experiment and deplacement). PLASE HELP US!

Now you probably wondering how we will proceed: first we will start in Bucharest and in other few cities with the pilot volume, the book will be sold to the students (we want to sell them at a low price, our target is 1$ but this will be posible only after we will open our own publising or tipography, when we will print by ourselfs the volumes the price will be lower, till then it will probably cost around 2$). With the money earnd we will publish the next volume and we will introduce in project other schools, until we included all the schools in the country. With the rest of money we will fund the festivals, competitions,clubs, etc. I hope that you will understand our concerns for a better education, because that means a better future, and you will help us start this project.
