Scholarship Fund for Motherless Teen

I am looking for donors to cover the schooling and living expenses of my godson, Gershwin Ranin Samson, the eldest of 4 siblings. They lost their mother, a single parent and a former Taguig public school teacher, Melanie Ranin Samson, to cancer last November 2016. And to add to this tragedy, all of them have been rehomed with different foster families. Most of their relatives are struggling financially and unfortunately, none of them have room for the kids so they are all staying with teacher-friends of Melanie. I promised Gershwin's late mother that I will take care of him. He cannot live with me because he is based in the Philippines and I am working in Vietnam. I can shoulder some of his expenses but I need help in securing funds for his other expenses. He is a very responsible student and an amazing brother and all he wants is to finish school, find work and get all his siblings back with him in one roof. His siblings also need financial help but right now, my campaign prioritizes him. Similar campaigns will be launched for his siblings.

Gershwin is studying in a public school and thus has minimal school expenses but he still needs money to cover board, lodging, transportation, and other expenses. The target is to raise enough money for at least two years' worth of living and school expenses so that there won't be any disruption to his routine and schooling for the next two years. After two years, we will assess his situation and identify his urgent needs by then.

The proceeds from this campaign will be similar to a scholarship fund for Gershwin. Whatever amount we can pitch in will be a great help to him.
