
Do you ever feel bad about the blatant disregard for the plight of DACA students at the federal level but honestly not know what to do personally? Me too. But I have a wonderful opportunity to help out in a very practical way: please help me celebrate my birthday by supporting my friend and super impressive DACA student on her way to college, Dulce Baeza. Dulce lives in the state of Georgia, a locked-out state which bars DACA students from attending public universities. So despite getting straight A's in high school, taking AP classes for fun and being one of the most dedicated and studious high schoolers I've ever known, Dulce has had to wait three years to be able to begin her freshman year of classes. Amazingly though, her patience and commitment has paid off:
